Limited Edition Print (Edition of 95)
The original painting is oil on canvas and depicts the artist’s children at Bradgate Park, near Leicester. Amanda (who grew up in Leicestershire) was looking forward to taking her own children to Bradgate, with its volcanic rocks that are so good for climbing on. She is glad that her daughter ignored her advice to put something more sensible on, because this really wouldn’t have worked with the heroine wearing leggings and a t-shirt. The title of this piece is borrowed, in part, from Emily Brontë, that consummate literary romantic.
