Tina Grobler's Biography
Born and raised in South Africa, Tina Grobler had the privilege of being subjected to art from the tender age of 7.
Throughout her upbringing in South Africa she was privileged enough to see nature first hand, many a family holiday spent in the bush tracking animals and speaking to people from all different walks of life fuelled a curiosity about the world, nature in particular. David Attenborough?s National Geographic series were a common theme to every school holiday, especially on rainy days. Watching how Sail Fish hunt and Whales play sparked the urge to get the paints out and try and capture the characters of the marvellous creatures that one would only see if they ventured below the surface of the waves for themselves. Having a healthy respect of the sea put the brakes on for learning to dive, so rather than miss out on the beauty she spent time researching in National Geographic?s, watching videos and hunting down photos with the aim of bringing the beauty below the depths to light for all those with a similar respect for water or just a love of sea life.
Now living in the UK and being able to travel to some spectacular oceanariums, she felt it was a perfect time to reveal her passion of art and nature to the world.
